The following links are not a complete list of all the major software companies that produce applications that author online content – such as Macromedia eLearning Suite (Adobe Acrobat®, Flash®, Dreamweaver®, Authorware®, Director®), Microsoft® Office™ suite or FrontPage™ tools or similar. The following lists the tools that are able to convert or reassemble content from the original applicationthat is used by a subject matter experts into an electronic form able to be used in elearning (e.g. XHTML, XML) or standards –compliant packages (e.g.SCORM). The tools cover the generation of both learning and assessment objects.
